It holiday time at the Clearwater Public Library! A reminder that the Library will be closed on December 27th for Christmas. There is still time to enter the two Christmas contests at the Library. One contest is for anyone of any age, “Guess the Peppermints”. There is a jar full of peppermints at the front desk. All you have to do is write your full name, a contact number and your guess as to how many peppermints are in the jar and drop it in the box. On Wednesday, December 21st we will go through the guesses and the one that is closest to the correct amount without going over will win all the peppermints! The winner will be contacted on the 22nd so that they can pick up the peppermints in time for Christmas. Please bring a container to take the peppermints home in as the jar must stay here so can be used in other contests. The Second contest is for youth up to age 12 (twelve). It is a simple coloring contest. Color the picture, fill out the information on the back and turn in to the Library by 6:00PM on December 20th. Friends of the Clearwater Public Library will judge the contest and the winner will be announced/contacted on the 22nd. The winner of this contest will receive a “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Giant Fun book to color with stickers. So be sure to drop by the Library and try your hand at our holiday contests. There is still time to get that “all year long” gift for your loved one, pay for a membership in the “Friends of Clearwater Public Library” group. Help your loved ones help the Library and therefore our community. Memberships are $5.00 for individual, $10.00 for a family and $10.00 for an organization. What an inexpensive, unique way to spread some holiday cheer. Contact a member of the group or drop by the Library to take advantage of this offer. Happy Holidays!
