What a whirl of activity at the Clearwater Public Library! Summer Reading has begun and so much is going on. Have you found the Hammer? There is a small toy hammer hidden somewhere in the public area of the Library (changes every Tuesday), if you find it then please DO NOT MOVE it, instead tell the Librarian where it is (no pointing, must use words) and if you are correct then you can put your name and number in the “Hammer “ can and a name will be picked from the can on Friday and that person will win a gift card for one free custard treat from Freddy’s. This is for all ages and you do not have to be in the Summer Reading program to participate, one guess per week allowed.

The first Dog Day activity was last week. Cherokee will be back every Tuesday during the summer at 1:00PM for more reading time. Remember that if you are registered in Summer Reading 2017 and have your Dog Day card, you need to get it stamped for every book you read to him and when your Dog Day ticket is full you can turn It in to Tina at the Library for a prize.

At the same time as Dog Day, our older patrons are working to make knotted blankets, one is KU, one is KSU and one is Clearwater colors. If the blankets are finished in time they will be given away as a prize at the end of the summer.

Doc Gizmo was back too! He was so much fun and we learned so much science and he did not even burn up the Middle School Theatre.

Then there was the Wall climbing at the Wellness Center too. Want to know what is coming up next? Dog Day and knotted blankets again on Tuesday at 1PM here at the Library. On Wednesday the 14th the Cow Skin Clydesdales will be at the Middle School Parking lot for all to see at 10:30AM and that same day at 2:00PM Dr. Neal will be at the Library with a Music, Hip-Hop show about Building a Better World. Thursday, the 15th join us (National Guard band) for a Rock Concert at the Middle School Theatre at noon. What a great way to spend your lunch hour? A good finish to the week will be attending the Brass Quintet and String Quintet (National Guard band) for a concert at the Community Center at 5:30PM.
