Just a quick reminder that parents/guardians may sign their little ones up for the Big Chiefs/Little Indian program at the Library now. Also, start drawing or writing or figuring out your costume for the “Never-ending WorldS” contests, some great prizes! Check our Facebook page or the Books & Beyond page on our website www.clearwaterkslibrary.org for the forms for the contests.

People are poetry and they are magic. As Gustave Flaubert says “There is not a particle of life which does not bear poetry within it.” Everyone has a story to tell. Come to hear the Kansas Poet Laurate on October 5th at the City Chambers at 7PM and learn a bit about poetry. Perhaps you would like to hear an immigrants story? On October 7th at 10AM, Kit Ying Wong (an immigrant from China) will be at the Clearwater Public Library to tell her story of “Coming to America”. This is one of our Big Read activities, on October 21st cultural ambassadors from WSU will present “Coming to America” part II. The experience of every person is worthy of poetry.
