What I WANT to say to this comment is, “Mark Twain once said,’That man that does not read has no advantage over the man who cannot read’. In case you did not pick up on that, it is a fancy way of saying that you are basically choosing to be illiterate and you probably should not brag about that.”
What I actually say is, “Wow, that is a shame, there are so many amazing books out there! Maybe I can help you find one that you would like to read.”
Being a Librarian often means that we must choose our words carefully.
