The chill is in the air. What a wonderful time to snuggle up with a good book or movie! When you come to the Library to pick up a book or movie do not forget to check out the Peppermint contest or the Coloring Contest. That would also be the perfect time to join the Clearwater Friends of the Library. You never know what treasure you will find in the Clearwater Public Library.

The Clearwater Public Library is holding two, count them, two Christmas contests at the Library. One contest will be open to anyone of any age, “Guess the Peppermints”. There is a jar full of peppermints at the front desk. All you have to do is write your full name, a contact number and your guess as to how many peppermints are in the jar and drop it in the box. On Wednesday, December 21st we will go through the guesses and the one that is closest to the correct amount without going over will win all the peppermints! The winner will be contacted on the 22nd so that they can pick up the peppermints in time for Christmas. Please bring a container to take the peppermints home in as the jar must stay here so can be used in other contests. The Second contest is for youth up to age 12 (twelve). It is a simple coloring contest. Color the picture, fill out the information on the back and turn in to the Library by 6:00PM on December 20th. Friends of the Clearwater Public Library will judge the contest and the winner will be announced/contacted on the 22nd. The winner of this contest will receive a “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Giant Fun book to color with stickers. So be sure to drop by the Library and try your hand at our holiday contests.
