Did you Know?

Studies have shown that reading has a positive effect on the body as well as the mind and soul.  Reading a book can relieve stress better than taking a walk or listening to music.  People who read tend to have lower stress levels.

Reading

The Clearwater Public Library has received lots of new books and some new DVD’s for children, young adults and adults.  Both fiction and non-fiction.  I would encourage you to come see what new items we have or look on our catalogue here on the Web site.

Children are encouraged to attend our weekly Story Time or weekly Lego Land at the Library.  Reminder that on March 2nd at 7:40AM there will be a meeting at the Middle School Theatre to begin a Teen club at the Clearwater Public Library.  Something for everyone here.

The Clearwater Public Library welcomes everyone in to see all the materials, new and old, that the Library has to offer.  Check out books, graphic novels, DVD’s or use a computer.  Check our Facebook page as well.

Libraries are not only for books

Libraries offer free internet access, essential for those who cannot afford internet at home.  Libraries are a lifeline for the unemployed – provide internet access, books, newspapers for job hunting and entertainment to stave off boredom.  Low income people need libraries for the free access to books, entertainment, information and the internet.  Literacy is boosted by libraries, illiteracy by closing or ignoring them.
